Assistant Manager, Operations & Process Improvement,
Full time, North York
The Assistant Manager, Operations & Process Improvement (AM) works with the Pharmacy Manager (PM) in leading and guiding day to day pharmacy processes & operations. They will be focused primarily in the pharmacy shipping area, ensuring consistent, accurate and efficient workflow, and leading initiatives to improve operations performance.
Specific Responsibilities include
- Maintaining day-to-day quality and accuracy of shipments and returns
- Identifying process gaps, analyzing and solving quality related issues, and leading quality and process improvement projects
- Supporting the development of standardized processes and procedures
- Coordinating staff workflow to ensure shipments schedules are followed
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing management of new and existing employees.
We are seeking candidates with
- Exceptional people skills – Upbeat, friendly, and approachable demeanor
- Proven ability to manage staff and processes
- Experience in pharmacy operations is preferred, but not required.
- Experience in LEAN methodology, green belt or higher is preferred
- Experience in identifying process improvement opportunities, developing these through to business case and then successfully delivering and embedding change
- Proficient in use of standard business software (MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with Kroll is an asset.
