  • Float Pharmacy Technician in Kitchener, ON

    Float Pharmacy Technician, (PT, 3 mos) 

    Flexibility to travel within Kitchener and surrounding areas.

    About the Position

    The Pharmacy Technician (PT) will be working across multiple sites within a specific region.   The Float PT will be responsible for providing direct patient care as delegated by the physician in a pharmacy environment.   They may also be relocated within a region to provide methadone or opioid agonist treatment.

    As a member of the health care team, the Float Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for managing all aspects of the delivery of the methadone treatment program to patients which includes administering medications, monitoring the patient, documenting the health records and reporting in accordance with standards of practice.

    We are seeking candidate with:

    • Valid registration with OCP Registration as a Pharmacy Technician is a requirement;
    • CAMH Opioid Dependence Treatment Certification is requirement.
    • Experience using Kroll Pharmacy Software is an asset;
    • Valid Driver’s License and access to vehicle with flexible availability;
    • Prior experience within an addiction treatment setting would be considered an asset;
    • Demonstrated patient-centered pharmacy practice skills;
